Become inspired to take your counseling and teaching skills to a level that never imagined, by investing in yourself and your career. 

The goals of this teacher training and yoga therapy program in eating disorder recovery are to give professionals the tools to create their own yoga  and eating disorder recovery/body acceptance program, using the Reconnect with Food® system. Learn how to incorporate the philosophy of yoga, while creating an integrated treatment team. 

This yoga teacher training with a specialty in yoga therapy for eating disorders also offers an opportunity for self-exploration.

Professionals that may enroll in and benefit from this program in order to use the wisdom of yoga in their respective professional setting are:

  • Mental Health Professionals (psychologists, social workers, licensed professional counselors)
  • Registered/Licensed Dietitians
  • Registered Yoga Teachers
  • Physicians
  • Registered Nurses
  • School/Community Educators
  • Recovery Therapists (Peer Coach)

200 Hour Teacher Training (RYT) with Certification in Yoga Therapy for Eating Disorder Recovery

Following completion of this program, professionals have the option to enroll in a further hands-on training program (Segments II and III), independently arranged at our facility in Michigan, for a 200 Hour Teacher Training (RYT application to Yoga Alliance made) with a specialty in Yoga therapy for eating disorder recovery (International Association of Yoga Therapists member school).  Although this retreat is considered "Segment I", it may be undertaken following completion of Segment II and III due to its limited offering throughout the year.

You may also earn continuing education for stand alone retreat by various credentialing bodies.
